When I look in your eyes,
I want to be alone with you,
share a forsaken sandy seashore,
my arm around your supple waist,
while we paint baby steps in the sand.
Our hearts will swell
and exhausted waves find solace,
as they lap at our toes.
Whispered words will be music,
under flocks of circling white doves
disguised as restless pleading gulls.
I will embrace your giggles
in loving sunshine, while we anxiously
race like untroubled youth,
clutching hands through emerald ivy,
where secret woods beckon.
Then, bathed in absolute wonder,
I will ease you onto the waiting green,
under swaying Mulberry boughs,
and make precious love to you.
again and again.
